‘Sonder’; a theme based All-day breakfast dine-in concept. Healthy all–day breakfast includes cereals, salad bar, fruits, fruit juice, wraps and ice-cream desserts. The dine-in cafe integrates a weekly changing theme based on demand and feedback to cater for a healthy mental state of students. Along with nutrition-rich foods, our objective is to increase an overall physical and emotional well-being of the students and thus boosting their productivity. Job Descriptions

1.      Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and food scales

2.      Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces

3.      Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients

4.      Cooking food in a timely manner

5.      Delegate tasks to kitchen staff

6.      Coaches the members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best

7.      Ensure appealing plate presentation

8.      Supervise Cooks and assist as needed

9.      Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)

10.  Monitor food stock and place orders

11.  Keeps up with trends in cooking and the restaurant business to ensure that guests have a positive experience

12.  Determines how much food to order and maintains an appropriate supply at the restaurant

13.  Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items

14.  Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients

15.  Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area and employs food  safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same

16.  Works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings

17.  Occasionally takes on extra duties, such as cleaning, when the kitchen is short-staffed or the restaurant is particularly busy

18.  Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team

19.  Follow the budget established by the restaurant manager


Job Requirements

1.      Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook

2.      Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)

3.      Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques

4.      Leadership skills

5.      Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks

6.      Excellent time management abilities

7.      Up-to-date and creative knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

8.      Familiarity with sanitation regulations

9.      Excellent communication and organization skills

10.  Able to work in a fast-paced environment and Dedicated to food quality and control

11.  Excellent communication in English & Malay (other language is a bonus) and organization skills

12. Open to Male and Female both with Age more than 23yrs.
